The Happiness Planner Review (Plus 10 of Your Questions Answered)
As I mentioned in my previous post here, I am trying to make this year super productive. I also want to continue working on myself and just being happy. I decided to invest in The Happiness Planner to be able to track my year and how I feel every day. I want to work on being more mindful of each day but also have a record to be able to look back on and The Happiness Planner definitely delivers.

I decided to choose the Peony Planner, partly because it looked absolutely beautiful and I loved the Faux Leather cover it came with. I guessed I could use this for a few years and just get replacement inserts. I am a sucker for pink and gold as well so really, I can't lie, it was down to how it looked. I don't know about you but I am more likely to use something when it looks beautiful just because I get almost excited to get it out and use it.
When the planner arrived I was immediately excited because the packaging was just perfect. It came in a great quality pink box and presented beautifully in tissue paper. It really was a luxe experience unboxing this planner.
The Planner also comes with a gold pen, paperclips, two bulldog clips (all the accessories match the hardware of the chosen colour planner) and stickers in the back. I think this makes it that more luxe and fun to use. The pen is lovely to write with and looks so sleek I want to write everything with it and the stickers let you add cute little touches to some of the pages. I am yet to use the bulldog clips or paperclips but they are still so pretty and a lovely little addition.
The planner starts off with pages to evaluate 2017 and lay out goals and wishes for 2018. I think it is really important to sit down and think deeply about what it is you really want and what you want this planner to do for you. There are a lot of quotes in this section of the book and the questions are thoughtful and inspiring. Some are difficult to answer but this really helps you dive deeper into what it really is you want.
Once you reach the 2018 section of the planner the beginning of each month will have a month overview, much like a traditional diary. Here you can write in any upcoming special occasions or dates you need to remember.
The daily pages will ask for the usual schedule, to do list etc. I fill this out at the beginning of the day to get myself set up and visualize what it is I want to achieve. You can start to get excited about your day by recording what you are looking forward to and what your main focus of the day will be.
Then on the same page you can reflect on your day in the evening, there is a space to give your gratitude (I love this practice, read my post about it here), good things about the day and general notes. You can tick off your to-do list and add your hopes for tomorrow. Each day has a unique quote at the top as well for extra inspiration.
It then gives you the opportunity to reflect on the month before you reach the next. You will rate your emotions, describe the month and your struggles and lessons. I particularly love this part because we often forget what we have achieved or overcame in a large timescale such as month and because we have summarised every day if we need a prompt we can look back. This keeps us aware of our habits and how they may be affecting us mentally.
The quality of the planner is top class; I am yet to find any imperfections. The paper is thick and the binder seems very durable. Because of the light colour of the case, I can imagine if you are keeping this in your handbag it could get grubby but should be easy to wipe clean. It is a little large to take out every day but I am not bothered by this because it looks perfect sitting on my desk and only fill it out at the beginning and end of each day.
I completely and utterly recommend this planner if you are looking to really focus on yourself and your happiness this year. If you really want to make a difference to your mindset I think this is a great place to start.
